Learning Logs

Learning Logs help to track my progress and my weekly consultation sessions. It includes the key points discussed in the consult, things that I need to have done by the next consultation, and a general reflection of my Guided Learning Process so far. It helps me keep on track with PPMR - Plan, Perform, Monitor and Reflect. I have 8 learning logs in total. Throughout the semester, I have used the Learning Logs to set achievable goals for myself as I design my brochures and plan for the exhibition.

Proposal

In this module, I articulated my plan in the form of a proposal. Even though my first draft of the proposal underwent many changes to become my current version, following my proposal has helped me keep track of which part of the project I am at, and what I need to do.

Timeline

My initial timeline that I added into my refined proposal was really vague. It only had the very basic things I wanted to do, such as "complete research" or "start draft of brochures". Over the semester, I realized that I didn't follow the timeline at all. There were even things I didn't expect to happen, such as having to stop working with the animal shelter I wanted to produce the brochures for. I also learnt how to break up my planning and execution stage into more specific details for more clarity.

Professional Certification

No, I'm definitely not an expert in Graphic Design by any means, but I achieved a certificate on the fundamentals of Graphic Design using the website Coursera. The certificate is issued by the California Institude of Arts, or CalArts.
